Is there hard evidence that ghosts exist?

Evidence Yes, Hard Evidence, no..
I believe that ghosts DO exist. I have never seen one, but I've heard some which I guess counts. Many people have seen them, some have been captured on film or video, clairvoyants have seen or heard them. That counts as evidence in my book. But of course the die-hard sceptics want HARD evidence which I don't think we will ever see unless everyone on this planet become open minded to the possibilities that ghosts DO exist on a different dimension than ours.
You know, with our physical eyes we only see a limited amount of the light spectrum. Does that mean that other spectrum's of light DON'T exist (like ultra violet light). Yes we have evidence that other spectrum's exist, but do we consider it hard evidence. If I can't see it with my own eyes, well then, I don't believe it exists? Do we adopt this attitude for all things we can't see or accept just the ones that scientists tell us exist even though we can't see it with our own eyes.
Our teachers, engineers, scientists have been telling us that magnetic fields, electricity, gases, chemicals, radiation, etc. all exist. We take for granted these things do exist because we have been told so. I can't see the electricity coursing through my home or car with my own eyes unless I stick my finger into a socket somewheres and watch the current manifest out of thin air! So, should I believe that electricity only exists IF I see it with my own eyes? Nah...that would be dumb, wouldn't it?
Same thing goes for aliens and all the other unexplained phenomena that scientist tell us doesn't exist because it can't be measured, seen, filmed, hard evidence. I think it is a form of mind control and I've had personal experiences with hearing and feeling things. Even though I haven't seen anything manifest, I know it was here and no one can convince me otherwise!! I believe that energy is very strong and we as humans, even animals, can leave residual traces behind when we are no longer in that physical dimension. Why else would you enter a house or building and get a creepy feeling if you can't see anything physically with your eyes?? The atmosphere is charged with energy and being energy ourselves, we feel it!
Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean that there is nothing there. Do we have HARD evidence that GOD exists?? Yet, millions of people on this planet believe yes, even though they haven't seen them with their own eyes. AND some of these are the die-hard sceptics themselves..funny isn't it?? Kinda mind-bending, don't you think? :)

I am one of the "die hard sceptics" you mention :(
We believe the likes of radiation as we can see the effects it can cause, I find it very hard to believe that someone who passes away returns to earth as a free spirit, surely there will be billioins of 'ghosts' roaming the planet, and why aren't there animal ghosts or dinosaur ghosts?
Saying this, i do believe that there is 'life out there' as the universe is too big for there not to be.
Thank you for answering my request butI am just a super sceptical monkey :)
But where do we draw the line? If we evolved from tadpoles or even micro organisms are they ghosts? I think i would need to have sit down and have dinner with a ghost to fully believe in them sorry.
I have never seen a ghost but I wish the man and woman in my house would stop waking me up at night with their conversation. I always sit up in bed to listen and I think that I have forgotten to turn the tv off but when I go to look the tv is off and the conversation stops before I get there. I never feel scared. It's very strange.
interesting about your daughter. Enjoyed your hub.
is this really true i have not seen any ghost .....................................ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
I know they're real because, over time, I've had so many encounters (of different types: aural, physical, visual) that I have gotten accustomed to the experience and am no longer frightened or surprised when I see one. I have no doubts. I just don't understand why they stay. Some don't hang around more than a few weeks after death, and others have obviously been hanging around for decades.

The demand for HARD evidence is just a control issue. Empirical science is the practice of measuring everything by your own yardstick and declaring everything that doesn't measure up to be nonexistent!
Great article! Thanks!
